From the 4th of September 2020 we will have all 4 the SAASA sanctuaries open again for visitors from near and far!

On the 25th of March 2 days prior to South Africa’s official COVID 19 phase 5 lockdown we shutdown our sanctuaries and sent our staff home to wait for our comeback calls.

It is with great joy and excitement that we announce that Monkeyland Plettenberg Bay will re-open on the 7th of August 2020. 

I know at times you might feel like you are alone.  But let me show you some campaigns surrounding Tourism in SA! 

All our sanctuaries are currently available for filming for feature films, series, tv shows and adverts.

I have been getting a lot of questions from friends, family and visitors wanting to know what did we do while all our sanctuaries where in lockdown in March, April, May and June of 2020. So here is my story

We are so happy to anounce that the Birds of Eden hiking trail will re-open Wednesday 1 July 2020.

On 15 September 2019, during the opening ceremony of the 80th Skål World Congress held onboard the Royal Caribbean “Symphony of the Seas” – SAASA was awarded the prestigious accolade of being Global “Major Tourist Attraction”, making SAASA the official winners of the 2019 Skål Sustainable Tourism Awards in the category of Major Tourist Attraction.
